तेज़ी से बढ़ते शहरीकरण और घटती कृषि भूमि के बीच छत पर खेती एक टिकाऊ विकल्प बनकर उभरी है। नए शोध में सेंसर फ्यूजन और फ़ज़ी लॉजिक आधारित स्वचालित सिंचाई प्रणाली ने न सिर्फ पानी की बचत की, बल्कि पारंपरिक तरीकों की तुलना में 50% तक अधिक उपज भी दर्ज की।

अफ्रीकन स्वाइन फीवर (ASF) के नए मामले सामने आने के बाद फिलीपींस ने स्पेन से सूअर मांस आयात पर अस्थायी रोक लगा दी है। सरकार ने कहा कि यह कदम घरेलू पशुओं की सुरक्षा के लिए जरूरी है और त्योहारों के दौरान मांस की कमी नहीं होने दी जाएगी। वैश्विक पोर्क बाजार में यह बड़ा झटका है, जबकि भारत में भी ASF का संकट कभी-भी असर दिखा सकता है।

They also batted for a legal guarantee of the MSP and suggested that horticultural and forest produce should be used for ensuring the nutritional requirements of local communities. Details here.
