क्या आपने कभी किसी कुएं की शादी बरगद से होते हुए सुना है? बिहार और झारखंड में पूरा गांव मिलकर इस विवाह का आयोजन करता है और प्रकृति से आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करता है। इसके अलावा स्थानीय लोग मिलकर जल स्रोतों को भी साफ करते हैं।

भारत के गाँवों में कुओं का नक्शा बनाने और मापने, और साझा संसाधन के रूप में भूजल की सामूहिक समझ को बढ़ाने के लिए 2020 में 'नापो जल, बचाओ कल' नाम का एक राष्ट्रीय अभियान शुरू किया गया था। इस साल, पूरे देश में कम से कम 50,000 कुओं के मैपिंग का लक्ष्य है।
